The spirit of Egypt’s revolution has sparked similar protests across the region. Iranian police beat and fired tear gas on hundreds of thousands of protestors gathered in Central Tehran’s Enghelab Square. Opposition leaders Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi organized the rally in support of the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia. At least three protestors were injured by bullet with dozens of others hospitalized for wounds as a result of being beaten. Protestors in Libya where Muamar Qaddafi has ruled for fourty one years have called for a day of rage. Thousands protested in Yemen demanding political reforms and the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The virus of revolution is spreading.
